Seastack, Oregon — est. 2023

Carry it well.

One-of-a-kind bags, cut and sewn from rescued beach towels and thrift finds — built by hand in her home studio.

What’s in the hold

Three lines. Zero new fabric.

Every bag starts as a sun-faded beach towel or a thrift-store find, gets hot-washed, cut, double-stitched, and finished with rescued zippers and buttons. No two are alike — the towel decides.

Beach days

Duffels and weekenders sewn from the loudest towels in the bin — they’re towels, so sand shakes out and salt water doesn’t scare them.

New for summer: the Slop Chest apparel line and Beach Goods & Co. — cooler totes, towel hammocks, and a bowl for Rigger.

The shop

Exposed brick, hanging rope light, and a sewing machine you can lean on.

The Cargo Hold is a converted dockside warehouse: reclaimed shipping-crate shelves stacked with washed towels sorted by color, jars of rescued buttons, and a well-worn work table where Burt cuts, sews, and mends.

Rigger, the house dog, naps in a repurposed sea trunk by the door. He accepts scratches as payment.

The mending promise

“If it frays, bring it back.”

A bag made from a rescued towel deserves to be rescued again. Anything sewn in the home studio gets mended free, forever. Bags we didn’t make get fixed for the price of the thread.

Why this homepage steers the way it does

One story, one bright “Cast Off” button above the fold. A single high-contrast call-to-action outperforms a wall of choices — and the voyage narrative gives visitors a reason to keep scrolling. We build homepages that point the bow at booking.
